Poetic Thoughts

Little did I know that I'm still drowning in my mistakes . Still haunted by those memories where I tore myself to be someone I never was. Little did they know I tried to pick myself piece by piece in the hope that slowly but surely I'd be back with the ones I had lost. As they sleep I'm still breaking a little inside my mind.  They say forgiveness is great but why do I still feel the sting when I stand in front of them .  All I wanted was time but I was too late.  The ships have  sailed far beyond the eyes can see  and I'm left stranded .... the me before those memories.

Lying down in a pool of blood The red mixing with the cold, white snow And gently floating like a boat on a flood Lies a body carrying a face that I know Pale blue eyes stare up at me The dance of life lost in them While one finger points accusingly At the remorseless killer that I am It was a crime all right One committed on the spur of the moment As we got into a heated fight All because of a silly comment It was the first time I had killed But I knew it wouldn’t be the last For this was something in which I was skilled Given my troubled past As I gazed down at the body with the eyes of a stranger I knew there was no turning back And though the face would haunt me forever I know I belong to the dark

By day I spend my time on Earth By night I sail on the river of dreams Filled with visions from every hearth Joining the river like tiny streams So many dreams and ambitions So many regrets and fantasies Dreamt by people of various nations Stretching over the river as far as I can see Many discarded and broken dreams Lie on the opposite shore Begging to be among the streams And longing to be more Does Morpheus ever sail by this river And look upon the dreams? Or does he merely give a sneer And continue sailing upstream? The river is my lone solace For here, I’m the queen And as sure as dreams can build palaces I will always sail this dream

"Let them in and let them go 'cause they will swing to and fro From wonder to wisdom Making you feel special and dumb" We wish on stars which we never bother to look at again. Wish on an eyelash which we blow away. Wish on the first drop of rain which splashes away on our palm. Wishes made on a million different stones thrown into a million different wells never to be picked up again.  Words used on a wish make us smile for a second and give us anxiety for a week at the least. Wish for riches,  wish for love,  wish for life,  wish for power,  wish for happiness,  wish for a pain remover coz a killer still leaves some traces. A wish is a powerful weapon of hope. One we use to make us feel like maybe just maybe we have something to look for in a day or two or within the near future.   The breath we take after the wish we just made helps us to brace ourselves for the inevitable but also for the wish. All we want and all we need  Is a little bit of sanity Chasing through the crowds Trying to get out of this shroud In the hope of finding A little bit of clarity Millions of people pointing at a billion different directions and we're left stranded at the same spot that we were on with the fear that one wrong step and the fall would never stop. We are forced to assume that we stand upon a cliff with just one path of floating rocks which would help us cross that never-ending pit of doom. The fear of the depth makes us close our eyes and now blind, we feel safe as we see no danger.  The life of a stranger seems so similar to that of a friend as this large ship is filled with people who think alike. A dare to dream bigger or think different and we are cast off into the sea. We never opened our eyes to see that the cast aways are living your dream.

A beautiful face With keen, bright eyes That could leave you in a trance And not notice how time flies That’s who she could have been If only you had given her a chance However, under the society’s eyes unseen You snatched her away in her trance She came into this world Just like any other baby But the poisonous words of a little bird Made all other things seem hazy Carrying her away in your hand You made sure she was all bundled up And hastening across the silent land You didn’t even realize she had cuddled up Long after that you reached your destination A huge outcrop jutting off a cliff And quick as a flash without any hesitation You held her over the edge, your back stiff Just as you were about to hurl her down You looked at her with eyes radiating hate so deep And as she beheld her killer’s eyes, she gave a yawn And drifted into an endless sleep

Written in the skies are the fates of a million lives Riding the clouds from yonder with wonder As the past till the future flashes by Cravings of love and emotion lay the common feeling For two souls have never been so similar and yet so different It’s sad that few moments of laughter Is almost always triumphed by pathetic thoughts of loneliness Just because time flew during those few moments we felt alive Doesn’t mean we haven’t had our proper share of them For two individuals have never been so perfect for each other Apart we’re two but together we’re one If I could go back in time I would hit the pause button on life And relive those priceless moments For you and I make the world’s greatest team

After a long and tiring day The sun dips down the horizon Gently it withdraws its nurturing rays Over countries numbering a ‘gazillion’ Just before the night takes over There comes a time, With little rays of sunlight left over Interspersed with silver moonbeams brighter than dime While night flowers bloom in all their beauty A cool, gentle breeze wafts by Carrying with it a sense of tranquility As a gentle light fills the sky Out scampers a badger Along with an owl and a bat While mice, fearing for their lives scamper Even outrunning a surprised cat! The air is filled with the noise Of various night creatures As they get ready with poise For their routine night ventures Oh! How I wish I could stay Locked in time before the arrival of night? For, no matter what others say, Nothing is as beautiful as ‘twilight’!

It is so confusing for guys . Our minds are wired one way and our hearts another. The moment we get the slightest of signals , the mind interprets it as friendship and the heart as love. This is when the war of thoughts begin. The war which changes the mood frequently which finally almost always leads to depression and a drunk sore body sitting in the corner of the bar contemplating why it ever got excited. Being friends with exes almost never works out inside the minds of us guys . Yet we put on one the best acting performances ever seen which is surprisingly seen very often but barely gets noticed.  We guys are wired this way . At the depths of our minds , the thoughts of our first love will always linger  and this war will go on and on and on.

Deep in the jungle Away from the city's jingle And din This wild cat alone can win With a rich, orange hide That can hurt a king's pride And marred with black stripes This cat knows how to strike Blessed with a majestic gait It can hunt without being bait Its roar can strike terror And bring about many a tremor Among mankind For this cat is one of a kind Yet, now due to man's greed We will only be able to read About these royal creatures Blessed with wonderful and terrifying features For a once great cat Has now been reduced to a lost fact Due to poaching And frequent encroaching However, this cat can still instill terror And no matter what, tales of its legacy will continue forever

As this guitar strums, their minds run with the lost souls to the land of the free. Tunes of loneliness drift away to the background and the drums of excitement take centre stage. With hums this song begins to take shape lighting a smile on the faces of these poor voiceless souls. As the beats pick up, the much awaited part is soon to start. The voiceless souls begin to speak and with just a few words the magic they expected is surpassed in a heartbeat. This land seems to dance with every beat and with step they try to take a breath closer to one another. The song hits it's second chorus where their wildest dreams almost turn to reality for just a split second and for that one split second everything is beyond belief and reaches perfection. The pulse inside is getting  vigorous, With you and I alone it's time for us, To close our eyes and feel the magic inside, And let me show you what love feels like....  Tonight. So let's dance the night away, Let's sing till the stars die down, Let's move and shake and jump around, So let's just forget about them honey,  and be with me now. Hand in hand let's start to move slow Or sway to the beat and go with the flow. Eyes locked down like a magnets attraction, Let's begin to act and forget bout their reaction. Standing  at the edge of a cliff The first time ever I've felt eternal bliss With the wind in my face, the silence around Broken by my never-ending shout. With my arms open wide, The emptiness inside, Is left into the wild, And with this one last cry, All that's left is my echo. 

Sitting here..  With eyes wide open but my mind shut from the inside. Millions of colors in front of me dancing in its various forms but all I care for is the black and white memories. Blue clear skies up above yet I'm clouded out within. With Chirps outside and thunder inside,  I am certain that this mental disturbance is gonna make me forget the present and force me to dwell in the past. I'm spotless yet stained all over. The only answer I have now to how I am is untitled.
